About Me!

Hey Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to find out more about me and why I do what I do.  I’m Louise and I’m the founder of KSM Minds.  Named after my three children, Khairi, Sanaa and Menen, KSM Minds also stands for Kreating Strong Motivated Minds.

The journey started in 2018 when my son was told that he was not allowed to sit at the dinner table at school because he is black.  He was 8 years old.  Listening to my son’s experience reminded me of my childhood experiences and I wanted to do something to support my son and educate all children.

Realising that schools were not always adequately equipped to have those conversations, I used my love of conversation and healthy debate to create bespoke packages that support schools and organisations on their anti-racism journey.

Since starting KSM Minds, my work with numerous schools for prolonged periods of time acting as a critical friend has resulted in a deeper understanding of the different ways that racism can exist, more open and honest conversations about race and racism with both staff and students and better support for Black and Black mixed heritage children (including parents) after they have experienced racism.

As the proud mum of 3 active children, my evenings and weekends are spent either at practice, competitions or matches. When I’m not acting as their taxi driver or their biggest fan, I can usually be found at home either lost in a book or a documentary.
